I have searched for a long time for possibilities to be mentally and physically balanced and tried a lot. Finally, my path led me to Falun Gong, also called Falun Dafa. This type of Qigong contains five physical exercises that are easy to learn and suitable for everyone. The spiritual guideline is based on the values of truthfulness, mercy and forbearance. Falun Dafa is therefore a dual cultivation for body and mind.
Falun Dafa was presented to the public at a health fair in China in 1992 and quickly found millions of followers from all walks of life worldwide.
Since the values of truthfulness, mercy, and forbearance on which Falun Dafa is based are difficult to reconcile with communism, the Chinese government began persecuting Falun Dafa in 1999 for fear of losing power. Since then, Falun Dafa practitioners in China have been illegally and without a court order locked up in labour camps or so-called re-education camps. There they are tortured, often to the death. In addition, vital organs are taken from these “prisoners of conscience” and sold profitably.
Since I myself practice Falun Dafa and have experienced many positive changes in myself as a result, I am opposed to this persecution.
